Friday 24 August 2018

This Friday will see the Border Movement Lounge host it’s ninth edition in Colombo at the Goethe-Institit’s cosy courtyard in Sri Lanka. In keeping with the theme of hosting a laid back atmosphere with an open music policy – the event this week will feature an evening of timeless hip-hop as well as both classic and contemporary dub music.

The 9th edition of the Lounge, will feature both vinyl and digital DJ sets from Nigel PereraAsvajit and DJ Infrastructure, delivered as always, on the Institut’s crisp and clear Funktion-One sound system. Nigel Perera has recently returned from Berlin following his 2 month residency as part of the BMR program which sends 3 artists from South Asia to Berlin each year.

Since its inception in 2013, the various incarnations of the Lounge have showcased the work of local musicians and DJs covering a variety electronic music styles.
