Jay Pei
Jay Pei is a DJ/Producer based in Delhi. His love for music began at the age of 19 and he has been producing music ever since. In the last 5 years, Jay has been successful in releasing his music on some notable international record labels such as Bullfinch Records, Haute Musique, Liztomania Records among others. In 2015, he released a track called Insignia which was supported by none other than the legendary Richie Hawtin himself.
Jay draws inspiration from a lot of different styles of music and tries to incorporate experimental musical elements in his compositions. A lot of his techniques may seem contradictory to the mainstream, but have led him to find and explore his own unique voice. He uses analog drum machines and synthesizers to lay down the very foundation of his tracks and uses digital devices to integrate the work flow. One could say that his music comes out from the best of both worlds – analog & digital.
